Bertín, the singer and presenter, is not exactly known for his love of mountaineering, although he is known for his passion for horses. Even so, he has taken on the challenge that Jesús Calleja proposed to him on March 18: Living an adventure in the magnificent landscapes of the Picos de Europa.

The adventure consisted of several parts. The first was kayaking through the Hoces del Río Duratón, in Segovia, where, despite being the first time he had done it and taking a dip, he enjoyed it. However, the third part was not as fun, as he could not overcome his fear and his vertigo, which forced him to abandon the climb of a vertical wall. But as he likes to see the positive side of things, he decided to watch the climb from below while enjoying a good wine.

Without a doubt, it was the second part that the presenter enjoyed the most, a horseback ride through the Mampodre Massif to end up in Maraña, a wonderful town in León, which allowed them to learn about its extraordinary customs. It is so evident that this is its strong point that he decided to take his own horses to do the route.

Bertín's passion for horses is something innate, since he was very young, horse riding has been a central part of his life, so we are not surprised by statements like «On my scale of preferences, the horse is first».  This mastery of the horse could be clearly observed in the program, and our presenter has managed to teach people as diverse as Mario Vaquerizo how to ride a horse, as can be seen in his program “En tu casa o en la mía” or Shakira without knowing it was her.

He himself is the successor of the Yeguada Conde del Donadio and has a range of horse care products with his name. He also has a lot of respect for the horse because he considers it a very intelligent animal, and in his way of riding he has as a maxim that "You can do whatever you want with a horse without hitting it."
